Habibi funk has put out some great records, but even among them all as a whole, something about this album just feels special. This man has the kind of voice and songs that just make you instantly fall in love with him. The sound quality is great but also largely inconsequential to me as fidelity is not the point of music like this. It's value shines through in its unbridled feeling and vulnerability and the 12 minute opening track is a folk pop masterpiece in and of itself.

super fantastic, anyone in the world could find something they love in this album as there is influence from every corner. it is like a cowboy on the silk road.

Donovan is absolutely right, Habibi has some good releases but this one is a tier above the rest. This feels like a magnum opus

Surprised I’m the first to have a bad experience with these habibi funk guys(or the first to say so here). I just got 3 sealed copies of different stuff including this… 2 out of 3 have various loud pops (haven’t got to #3 yet). Not a ton… but a new record shouldn’t have any. Even after cleaning. A real shame given this beautiful previously unheard music. Great work on the archival side, but stick to Spotify with these guys. They’re skimping.

So thrilled with this album! I spent the whole summer listening to the Youtube version. Listening to this album on vinyl now is just an amazing eye opener. Really great print.
There is a certain noise audible all the time, but that's also the case within the digital files, so it clearly originates from the original tape master. If you have the chance of getting it... grab it!

This album is absolutely tremendous! 7 tracks of purely melancholic arabic music, with hints of jazz and funkish guitar and bass lines. Santour touches also give an unprecedented middle eastern and mediterranean folk vibe.
Highly recommended.
