Beck – Hyperspace

Side one dead quiet. Side two dead noisy with tics/nonfills. Shame

This album just didn’t connect with me.
It just didn’t sound right, almost a disted arrangement. Looks awesome. Just does nothing for me musically. I enjoy almost every other Beck album I’ve heard, just disappointed.

Cd sounds pretty good. Yes it’s loud, but all cds are nowadays. It’s still mastered pretty well, deep bass and lots of highs. The treble may be a bit harsh for some people, but I think it works given the nature of this album’s sound. This album overall has a nice atmospheric sound to it that I love, and it’s amazing that they managed to keep the atmospheric sound while also making it loud without ruining the sound.

Got mine for $20 AUD a few weeks ago - no sticker on the front, but it's the silver vinyl all right. I didn't mind the album with the mix of acoustic guitars and the electronic sounds. It was in the clearance bin and must have been sitting around for a while considering when it was released, but the vinyl was flat and quiet, so I cannot complain.

Another Beck work of art. Love the design- silver version is awesome.

Another good if a little ambient Beck album, my only gripe is Chris Martin from Coldplay sings on a track.
I find Coldplay deplorable and totally unlistenable.

For what it is, it’s a good pressing. They’re jamming an extra two songs onto an already crowded record, and it causes inferior sound quality to the standard edition, but the record is still playable. The surface noise is noticeable but not enough to ruin the experience (just give it a decent clean).

Very underrated album in Mr. Hansen’s catalog. It’s like if you crossed Midnite Vultures and Colors. Kinda laid back but with that futuristic pop sound!

Good sounding press! Was a little taken aback by the alternate intro for Uneventful Days, which I didn’t realize was a thing with the vinyl press of Hyperspace. Got mine used in near mint condition for 15 bucks at Reckless Records in Chicago. Very pleased!
