Elmer Bernstein – Ghostbusters (Original Motion Picture Score)

Bought a copy at a local record shop and had to return it because the surface noise was terrible. Surface noise wasn't just a slight crackle in the background during really quiet parts, but sounded fuzzy through the whole album.

Gave it a clean and still had the same issues. Ended up returning it. Hope they come out with a nice reissue of this some day!

This is it, this is the sign! Wonderful edition by Varèse Sarabande of this beautiful long forgotten score! Excluding the very lightly compressed dynamics and hard limited waveform, resulting in slight distortion when the volume gets full and all instruments enter the scene, still the real deal in of mastering (this is the original stereo mix, not some sort of cheap redo as the Sony edition) and completeness (even if it lacks some minor cues, as the background music you can hear during the Sedgewick Hotel scenes included in the Lincoln bootleg), also the tracklist it's presented in movie order.

I bought it on its release and no purchase was more appropriate! If you can find a copy... GET HER!!! :-)

Childhood fan and was looking for the soundtrack. Came across a lot of the other LPs, but this one stood out due to good reviews. Come to find out, this was an AWESOME LP! Really surprised me. Great sound, and lots of memories of songs I forgot existed long ago. Definitely one of my best buys!

Sounds incredible, music is beautiful, I had never payed much attention to the score, and it is beautiful.

My just-opened new copy has noise when the needle es over the orange part of the disc. Very annoying and distracting.

Pressing is decent, slime/clear color seems to vary pretty drastically from copy to copy. Mine looks alright, but not great. Sounds pretty good, maybe needs a cleaning out of the box.

The color is supposed to be a proton blaster stream. Duh.

packaging is GORGEOUS! artwork and texture of the sleeve etc is amazing! the records themselves look great too and sound quality is good too! vinyl is pretty heavyweight but i’m not sure about 180g. the first disks tracks are pretty good however the second disks tracks are pretty awful imo 😭 and you can see in the track list in the back cover that they have even altered the track list so that the tracks you would probably want to hear the most are on the 1st disk and then whatever was left over is on the 2nd 😊

Very Beautifull vinyl but without The Ray Parker Jr song...
