RY X – Unfurl

Stunning pressing sound, great soundstage, bass with a great presence without saturate, amazing midrange details, with a great silence balance too. The jacket is so beautiful, organic materials, 12x12 talented photos... one of my favorite in my collection. I don't think this pressing saturate the bass frequency on the speakers, at least this is not an issue on my Paradigm Monitor 11, and no EQ, just direct from the Project to the tube amp. This's one of the greatest mastering work that I see with music after the 2015, with a base from the electronic but so warm, balanced, punchy and detailed.

I just bought a vinyl of this album and it is not gatefold and it is not 180g. Very strange as it is not listed anywhere. The sound of it is great despite of not being acknowledged here. At the back it says it has been manufactured in Czech Republic in 2023.

Sounds excellent, noticeable hiss though. No noise reduction. 2-flap cover J-card made from heavy-weight matte paper with single-sided greyscale print comparable to a greyscale laser print or xerox copy. Black cassette shell with greyscale printed paper labels. Nice snap case with white back half.

The pressing would have been excellent if it weren't for the sound distortion on the heavy notes and the booming slow bass
