Oh NO, another Cultic PURE Black Metal release desecrated/parodied with a modern 'beautiful' reissue by it's own maternal label. A DISGRACE. But expected in these times when Black Metal has become a 'cartoon-version' of it's own True self.

Classic Black Metal with a 30-year history. The album is respected not only by right of seniority, but also due to objectively excellent musical solutions. It was recorded at a time when almost every first album was unique and left an influence on the formation of the genre arsenal. "Pure Holocaust" has become one of the fundamental works in Norwegian Black Metal, along with old albums by Mayhem, Burzum, Gorgoroth, Satyricon and others.

The next Osmose reissue turned out to be cool, a slipcase with an alternative cover is a nice addition, and vinyl in the exclusive colors of the Norwegian flag generally increases the class of the edition. In of printing, there is probably not enough of poster, as for a similar reissue of DFM. As for the sound, there are no comments, the record is played perfectly, the mastering, if not literally repeats the original, then 99% is close to it. It was not possible to find information about any remastering, but most likely there is no remastering and it is objectively not needed for this album. The sound is raw, biting, cold, with natural dynamics. Just great and that's it.

Is it really sure the grey version is the second press? Asking because there are many more with the green labels for sale, and almost never the gray, although there should be much more pressed in grey. So it seems exactly the other way around (also looking at how many people have this record).

Still feels unlikely that Abbath played drums here, as they sound very tight and "ordered", compared to the MESS he did on Battles in the North album. I'm really curious where this info is coming from, could anybody paiste a proof here, please? Thanks in advance!
