Pinback – Summer In Abaddon

Amazing sounding record. Clear, quiet, and sounds really great. Like the other review, mine was super dirty for some reason. Cleaned it up with my ultrasonic cleaner and it’s perfect.

Amazing cut by John Golden! I can’t compare to the 2004 SAE but this is a brilliant sounding LP to my ears. A jaw-dropping soundstage with great separation and full low end that provides an incredible listening experience, especially with headphones.
Only minor gripe is that my pressing came full of smudges that cause a few pops in certain places. Other than that, zero complaints, my LP is flat and centered. you should def grab this one, a perfect album from start to finish.

leagues better than the digital rips i'm used to hearing. great soundstage, little to no surface noise, just a lovely time through and through.

Dead quiet pressing. Really impressed with the overall sound. Buy this record.

The artwork on the outer sleeve is a bit blurry. My copy is also warped but doesn't affect the playback.

This release made my day. The mastering is pretty killer on the vinyl. Pinback records and mixes their own work (probably using a fair degree of digital gear), and their CD and hi res sound files always sounded really good to me (great sound separation and this kind of vacuum sealed mix), but the shade of the green vinyl is so pleasing and the packaging is pretty killer, it really feels like a reward rather than just another release. Oh, and it also came with a 7” single! I am so glad to have this in my collection.

Just a super laid back, chill album. Great pressing and lots of L/R separation that add to a great sonic experience.

Vinyl color is a transparent maroon with black marbling, just to clarify.
