a couple details i havent seen anybody else talk about. The A side of each record is etched Ouch! That’s Hot! and the B side is etched Vinyl Makes Ears Happy. Also the back cover is upside down

I worry about the sound quality on this re issue... the original was stretched over three records and had really good sound quality because of it and now its in two so they used compress files or dropped the quality and i dint like that...i have a copy arriving tomorrow so im anxious to hear the difference...thats a big one there.. i hope tĥey figured out how two fit it on two without it suffering too much but ya know its gonna be lower quality. I cant believe fat possom did that. -

With El-ps vocals stripped away, this record really showcases just how truly unique and intricate his production was back in the def jux days. -
Edited one year agoafter years of waiting i finally picked up an og pressing. and honestly? it was insanely worth it. i did a shoot out between this and the colored reissue of fandam and i prefer this one by a mile. the og is a triple LP which lets songs breathe a lot more, and of course it's also very bassy.
with the FP pressing, songs sound a little distorted near the end and then cut off abruptly. that's my biggest issue with the reissue. other than that it sounds about average for a 2 LP
idk overall if you can pick up an OG pressing, do it. it sounds wonderful. you won't be upset if you pick up a recent reissue either. -

Fat Possum has done some stellar work. This is a great sounding reissue. -

Just a little warning: I had 2x side A/B in my copy. Better ask your seller to check before buying online. -

This bumps. Very solid reissue with both the media and packaging. I wouldn't sleep on this if you've been wanting to add this to your collection. -

Just compared with my original 3x black lp pressing, using a couple of Technics 1200 with paired hifi capsules. Sounds much much worse. I'm pretty sure it's not about the double lp choice, but about the color. I hope I can compare it one day with the new black reissue to check if I'm right. -

Finally got it on wax. Long time coming. Great job Fat Possum...you guys did El and this classic justice. Sounds bombastic and just the way it was meant to sound. Gritty and dirty crackling samples over the clean synth sounds of the EnSoniq - well balanced. Dope abstract art to boot. A must have.
