Carnivore.* – Retaliation.

I’ve owned the original press from 87 that I got that year . It sounds amazing but so does this repress . I got it for the different cover and demo songs but wow this repress sounds as good (almost) as the first press . Since this is a perfect album its win win across the board . Man I wish they made a third album cause type o fn sucked . Kill it

Incredible album and fantastic reissue! Great sound quality, beautiful all around!!

This album sounds great! Very quiet, good mix which doesn't take away from the original mastering at all. I was hearing details I had never heard before, and I have listened to the original vinyl since not long after it came out, and also the re-released cd. The color is beautiful translucent coke bottle (green glass) color. I can't help but to think a subtle apocalyptic tone is set by not only some of the lyrics and titles, but also by the color of the records themselves. My only minor complaint is the included inner sleeves are very tight and full of static. The records went straight into new archival anti-static sleeves after listening to them for the first time.

Not a single comment yet? Classic crossover thrash from the golden year of 1987. History shows repeatedly, that 1987 is wonderful for year for music. Especially that of Thrash metal and the like. Amazing release! Don’t overlook!

How does this sound? Plan on offloading my 2018 double-album version for this one.

Perfect pressing. Dead quiet and begs to be cranked loud! One of the best vinyls in my entire collection. Peter’s chorus/flanged bass cuts through the mix so hard. Anyone offended by this album is missing the joke entirely or was born after the year 2000. Miss you Peter.

This pressing is flawless as it can get to my ears. Super impressive sounding record this one is. That goes for the amazing and I do mean AMAZING demo bonus tracks. Holy shit man, this is a good sounding album and obviously a AMAZING album. It does not get more rebellious or badass than this album. Feels even better listening to it these days haha. I absolutely adore what Carnivore accomplished. Retaliation is one of the biggest and most well done fuck off albums you will ever hear. Every song is amazing. 10/10 across the board demo tracks included. Get this pressing asap you SOB!

As a heads-up, the Price Killers CD of Carnivore uses pre-emphasis as a noise reduction technique for audio CDs, which makes the treble sounding much brighter than usual if you're playing it on a CD player without the ability to de-emphasis the audio or straight CD rips on your computer.
