In my opinion Versatile Records since establishing shows enormous energy, brilliant ideas and constantly proves that it cannot only exist but can also be very successful and influential over the electronic scene in and throughout the whole World.
I personally got in love with French Touch in 1997 when I first heard Le Patron Est Devenu Fou! by Etienne De Crecy and shortly after I realized the French Touch phenomenon has much larger spectrum then I expected and started discovering many more superb French artists and labels.
After years of being under massive influence of the French electronic music I found that vast majority of the French records ceased to exist and they are now defunct. Perhaps, this was because they only offered a limited genre of dance/house/French touch music. Only few old labels are still functional like Pepe Braddock’s Atavisme, Circus Company, Karat, Kitsune (though the last releases do not convince me at all) and most of all Versatile Records which I personally consider as the French flagship label and the most versatile in of genres of music.
Versatile Records of all these still existing old records issues quite regularly new records/CDs and have recently announced releasing two new 12” in March.
In of variety of electronic genres. When I started listening to the very first Versatile records releases I was 23 and now I am nearly 41. Although I still really like the old Versatile stuff my music preferences obviously evolved since my twenties and I find really fascinating and intriguing Versatile latest sublime in taste releases like works made by Gilb’R, I:Cube, Zombie Zombie, Etienne Jaumet, DJ Sotofett, Chateau Flight, The Maghreban or Arab Acid and many other artists who release their works under Versatile branding.
My best regards for Gilb’R and Jeff from Versatile Records for great and very friendly service. Please keep going with promoting great electronic music!

one of the few 90´s house labels that has managed to stay afloat. That takes skill in of how the industry has changed both in style, technology and how music is distributed. And also the fact that it still does vinyl so there must be some secret behind it all.
I think the versatility in music has aided it alot. After all its named Versatile.
So one can only tip their hat and say: Respect!!
