Edizioni Suvini Zerboni

Italian music publisher. Società Anonima Suvini Zerboni was founded by Emilio Suvini and Luigi Zerboni in 1907. It originally either managed or owned several important theatres in Milan.

But the future of Suvini Zerboni had already taken shape long before when side by side with its theatre activity, its publishing activity continued to grow, handling the classical catalogue and the operetta repertoire purchased from the Sonzogno publishing house. It was actually in the “thirties” that the publishing sector became independent under the direction of Paolo Giordani, an attorney at law who had in the meantime become the owner of the company.

In 1934 Ladislao Sugar ed as a partner, became general manager in 1935 and when Giordani died in 1948 Sugar bought all the company shares and became sole owner.
