Magnetic tape / lacquer manufacturing company. (Known as "EMI Tape Limited" from 1971)

E.M.I. Tape Limited was established in the late 1940s and operated as a sub division of E.M.I. Electronics Ltd., and was an immediate subsidiary of Electric & Musical Industries Ltd. (EMI) Principal activities - research, development and manufacture of magnetic tape used for industrial, military and media related purposes and lacquer products. The company manufactured acetate pressings under the Emidisc (3) imprint (trademark) as a promotional tool and for test pressings.
