1972 - Relaunched as 20th Century Records
1978 - Name reverted to 20th Century Fox Records (Distributed by RCA Records between 1979-1981)
1982 - Label ended after purchase by Casablanca Records
1991 - Revived as two labels: Fox Records
2009 - Soundtrack back catalog purchased by Universal Music Group. The non-soundtrack catalog was retained by Universal.

    From what I understand, Fox Music's attempt to buy back all the 1958-1981 non-soundtrack masters (e.g. Barry White, Maureen McGovern, Kenny Nolan) failed. Those still lie with Universal Music.
