Idlers - A very quick and short-lived sub label of WARLOCK Records, Idlers had the most precise timing on "Party People" by Royal House. Todd Terry had made several underground hits, but this one was the "Better press 10,000 more by Saturday" variety. This is the track that changed house music into that "dirty thugged out unsafe" style, as if Todd walked up and snatched the carpet out of the Chicago producers and threw it back at them. No one complained...Then the Jungle Bros. took the hip hop community by storm and
by the time the next instant hit came out as "I'll House You", the same track now with lyrics, just blew up all over again. The Jungle Bros. inked with Gee Street in the U.K. and several trade off deals gave Idlers a few underground acid hits before folding & fading into oblivion.
