The British Zonophone Co. Ltd.

Profile:

UK record company established 1910 to manage Zonophone Record label.

Michael Thomas notes that the entity "British Zonophone Company Ltd" appeared on a label change for Zonophone Record in June 1910.
Unless differentiating between "The British Zonophone Co. Ltd" and "British Zonophone Company Ltd", it would seem that a date for establishment is at least June 1910 - if not earlier.

In 1909 The Gramophone Co. Ltd. introduces the double sided disc under tha label Zonophone.

In 1931, when Columbia & the Gramophone Company were merged to form EMI, the Zonophone logo was once again paired with an existing label and Regal Zonophone was born. This survived until 1948. The name was revived in the 1960s (by EMI).
