Profile:	US publishing company originally established in New York, 1922 by Sam Manus as Manus Music. In 1930 he purchased publisher Alfred & Company founded by Al Piantadosi and changed the name of the concern to Alfred Music. The company moved to Los Angeles in 1975 and during the 1980s and 1990s they expanded internationally to Europe and Asia. In 2005, Alfred Music purchased Warner Bros. Publications, acquiring the rights to the EMI Catalogue Partnership and beginning a long-term relationship with Warner/Chappell Music. Through this deal, Alfred Music also gained the print publishing rights of publishers such as M. Witmark & Sons, Remick Music Corp., and T.B. Harms, Inc.
