World Records (3)

Canadian record company and label with head office and production facility in Oshawa, Ontario and branch office in Halifax, Nova Scotia started by Bob Stone (3).
They made and distributed their own recordings plus acted as distributor and manufacturer for other labels.

Most recognized for its "custom records" released by small private labels and Not On Label (Self-released) records Canadian Talent Library.

In addition to the custom product World also released records under its own labels: World Records (3) did not press any of its own product or have its own studio / mastering facilities. These functions were subcontracted.

In addition to credits on the labels and jackets World Records (3) can be identified by unique runout, label matrix and CD matrix numbers.
These numbers may be entered in full with the company credits.

How to credit:
1. For credits based solely on runout or matrix numbers please use company credit Made By.
2. If logo is present on the release please credit as a label as well as company credit.
2a. If logo is present with another label please credit both companies and place World Records (3) as the second label.
2b. If logo is present on "Not On Label (xxx Self-released)" recordings please place World Records (3) as the second label.
3. If written credit is present please credit as presented on the release.
4. Where releases state "A Custom Production of World Records" with no other role listed, please use Record Company role in LCCN.

Identifiers on World Records (3) releases may appear in runout, CD matrix or label matrix.
