Located within the doors of the famed Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, California, George Horn’s mastering studio was active for over 30 years. Realizing that the Studios needed a dedicated room for Mastering, a room was designed by Tom Hidley in the late 70’s strictly for this purpose. Since then, countless records from a wide variety of genres were mastered there.
Beginning in 2008, George operated independently and in early 2014 Anne-Marie Suenram ed the studio as a fellow mastering and disc-cutting engineer.
it combined both vintage analog and modern digital technology.

Evidently the business was sold and renamed or closed after the death of George Horn, who ed away August 26, 2021 at the age of 87, of complications from COVID-19.

    George Horn and his protege assistant Anne-Marie Suenram, deliver top-notch mastering.
    From Robert Berry’s well produced ReknRoad tracks which were already impressive, George and Anne-Marie mastered our album, redefined our standards in the process, as they showed us clips from before and after their work was applied.
    The depth, clarity, richness of sound in the final product, our self-titled album “ReknRoad,” is astounding.
    We couldn’t be happier, and are looking forward to doing it again for our next tracks.
