Paramount Records was a movie soundtrack and pop music label created in January 1969 by conglomerate Famous Music (3) music publishing division.

The company's unique reissue imprint was the Famous Twinsets series, which contained two different LPs from one artist in a double album package; it was generally considered a good quality reissue series.

The label ended with the sale of both Paramount and Dot labels to mountain & stars logo.
