I wonder if the label title is a play on MfS (Ministerium für Staatssicherheit) the notorious East German state security police "Stasi" ? The label was started up at that time East came to an end.

Well..i don't know how anyone before didn't drop a thing about this legendary label. This is the point where it all started..the whole trance story! The first trance compilation on Earth came out just from here, thanks to MFS and Mark Reeder, now legendary - Tranceformed From Beyond.
That was the first time ever that word "trance" is used to describe a music genre. You heard of Cosmic Baby, PvD or Mijk Van Dijk? Well, they issued some of their first works right here. Mark doesn't like to call his label a "trance label" but it is, in it's essence. I know him personally, he's such a nice and funny bloke and still young at heart, like 20 years ago :) Mark now travells across the world with his mate Corvin Dalek on DJ tours, and working on his project from 2000, MFS sublabel called Flesh. Nothing more to say, just the biggest r.e.s.p.e.c.t. to the father of trance and MFS, the label of all times.
