Dolores Recordings

Profile:

Swedish alternative/indie record label from Gothenburg owned by EMI, founded in the late 1970s by Lasse Otterström (who also ran the Dolores Serier store in Gothenburg from 1976 to 2010). The label went out of business in 2010.

It has released, among others, Håkan Hellström, Caesars, Broder Daniel, Teddybears STHLM, The Plan, Deportees, I'm from Barcelona, The Soundtrack of Our Lives and Bad Cash Quartet.

The company was then focused on hardcore, punk and metal. However, the business did not go anywhere and was therefore put on hold. In the early 1990s, it was started again by Ismail Samie. Punk-metal and hardcore music had now given way to pop and rock. In 2000, EMI-owned Virgin Records bought the company.

On some release or release sleeves the record label is printed as Dolores Records or Dolores. All these releases should be gathered here on the Dolores Recordings page.
