ICM Switzerland

Profile:

ICM was established in January 1972 as producer of plastic parts for music cassettes with locations in northern Italy and Switzerland.
CD production started on October 1, 1985 (ed by PolyGram) at a pressing plant in Diessenhofen, Switzerland. The plant was funded by parent group Werner Weber Holdings. The CD plant also produced glass masters and manufactured CDs for EMI (before the plants in Uden and Swindon became fully operational) and for other plants.
By the end of the 1980s, the plant was one of the largest European CD manufacturers.
Went bankrupt in July 1991. The factory was sold to OMD Productions AG.

ICM CDs can be easily identified by their distinctive disc hubs, which are fully silver and feature a characteristic buffed ring around the spindle hole.

Use only when it can be determined to be the Swiss location, such as "ICM Switzerland", "Made in Switzerland by ICM". Otherwise, just use ICM Mastering.
