Dex Audio

Dex Audio is a former vinyl manufacturer, and a current CD, DVD and Blu-Ray replicator and duplicator, and cassette duplicator based in Kensington, Melbourne, Australia. Founded in 1978 by Newmarket Music.

Matrix numbers
CD orders for Dex Audio were sent to Disctronics B/PMI where they would press the CDs with the matrix numbers DCDxxxx up until 1999. These CDs can be entered under Manufactured For with the pressing plant entered as Made By. The matrix numbers may also be entered as a catalogue number. CDs manufactured by Dex Audio from 1999 until around 2010 usually have a matrix number DEXCDxxxx present in the CD matrix. Since 2010, this has been replaced by a 5-digit number, usually preceded by the text 'DEX AUDIO CD'. Either of these matrix numbers may be entered as a catalogue number for Dex Audio when credited as Manufactured By or Pressed By.
