Pädagogischer Verlag Schwann GmbH was a German book and record publishing house in Düsseldorf, established in June 1972 and ed in July 1972.
The new company succeeded "Pädagogischer Verlag und Druckerei Schwann GmbH".
It was specializing in catholic literature and educational books.
Around 1976, the company took control over the music labels which had previously been managed by its sister company L. Schwann Verlag.
These were Schwann AMS Studio for "progressive" contemporary sacred music.

Note: the company is frequently abbreviated to "Schwann" (or "Schwann, Düsseldorf"), please credit accordingly.

In 1988, Schwann was sold to the German educational publisher Cornelsen Verlag, while the music labels were acquired by Koch Schwann Musica Mundi etc.
