The studio was initially launched by an advertising company - SH Benson - for jingles and voice overs. It was acquired by Major Jacques De Lane Lea, who was even transform English films to French, in the mid sixties. It usually is known as De Lane Lea Studios, which stay at this location till 1971, when the Wembley location came in use.

In the 60s The Rolling Stones, The Animals, Jimi Hendrix, Marc Bolan and The Who recorded at this location, to name a few.
After the relocation of the De Lane Lea Studios, it stood empty for some time and was eventually acquired by Kingsway Recorders Ltd..
