Cutting Room was probably founded by Rune Andreasson and Peter In de Betou bought the company. In 1999, Björn Engelmann took over, and he has owned and run Cutting Room since then. Until 2008, Cutting Room was located in the Solna area just north of Stockholm's inner city. In 2008, the company moved to Odengatan, Stockholm.
