Edited 2 years agoOne of the real Techno/Minimal Techno label ever alongside Tresor, Construct Rhythm, Missile Records, Advanced, Fine Audio, Drumcode . All these labels + the artists that worked on it were real artist and pioneers from the genre .
A big 10/10 for this label! -
Wondering if the lack of Kanzleramt releases on streaming services will pay off in the end. And I say that because, particularly myself, I was checking the releases from them right now and there was a bunch of "that album! I completely forgot about that album!" as many of them were in physical media in my mom's house and CDs ended up rotting or being thrown away or who knows what happened and I could not listen to them since then and I cannot even find youtubes of many of the tracks.
But, as a mini review, it was quite a solid bunch of releases by the Laux brothers curating eyes. -
Edited 20 years agoHere is a label that must be respected. Lightly influenced by the Detroit Techno movement and directed by the good producer Heiko Laux, Kanzleramt has brought good quality releases these last seven years by the German producers who knew how to give a different approach to dancefloor driven tunes, sometimes with real sophisticated and dark atmospheres. Part of this statement rule is felt in the very familiar way the label is conducted: it's not difficult to notice the artistic perspectives in common between the Kanzleramt producers. Be sure to checkout the singles, EPs and albums of Alexander Kowalski, Johannes Heil and the owner Laux himself.

In my mind, Kanzleramt is one of the most innovative techno-labels in recent years. Excellent selection in the range of Hard-Beat-Techno to Techno-Electro. Most of the performers are excellent and innovative producers, are kickin' party-boosers, but have unfortunately a lack in live-set-techniques.
But however, if you have the chance..GO!!!
