I had one of the Can live shows and the PVC ruined the vinyl after a few years (as another has mentioned). If you have these get rid of the PVC sleeves!

Edited 8 years agoDefinitely read what the other person wrote. If you are going to buy these do not leave them in these plastic pvc sleeves, it destroys the vinyl over ttime.

Just opened my copy of Fotheringay B188. The first song on each side was good audio quality (aside from the skip in song 1 side 1) and each song after sounded like it was recorded straight from the radio. The performances were great but the recording quality was really terrible.

Edited 8 years agoOne problem with this label that is beyond dispute is that they use the "bad PVC" for all their sleeves. This is the PVC that leeches into vinyl over time and ultimately degrades vinyl in the long run. So if you're buying a New/Sealed LP on this label that is more than a couple years old, or for that matter, any used copy that the seller hasn't properly re-sleeved, you might find that distinctive PVC patterning on the play-surface medium. If anyone reading this is unfamiliar with the problems PVC poses, there are posts on the forum about it, such as here: https://www.discogs.sitioby.com/forum/thread/726314

Don't listen to the naysayers, this is a decent label of rare and excellent live tracks from some of the best artists of all time. I have several Soft Machine, Caravan and Kevin Ayers releases from this pressing company and they are all fantastic! Decent prices too, so enjoy!

Who knows how many copies are actually printed? I don't believe B13's hype of their editions being limited to 500, given their worldwide distribution and wide availability.

Primarily interested by Kraftwerk "releases" by B13, I haven't been impressed until now. According to a shop with whom I do business, they are to release the LEGENDARY 1997 Tribal Gathering set. With Tango? We can but hope!

When is this 'obscure' bootleg label, that has massive worldwide distribution I might add, actually going to PAY any of these artists?

If theres anything I wanna see more of from this label, it is more original mothers of invention stuff! It was amazing to hear the artisan acetate on vinyl (and for such a good price too) and I wanna hear more! There really isn't a lot of 1966 - 1969 live MOI stuff out there on vinyl and It would be amazing to get some more from this label because its releases are typically easier to find and the vinyl quality is usually very good. If there was any concert I'd request, definitely Amsterdam 10/20/68, Miami 02/08/69, Toronto 05/24/69 or Warrensville heights 08/10/69. Whoever out there is in charge of this labels releases, I hope you got some coming out in the near future.
