WEA Italiana S.p.A.

WEA Italiana S.p.A. is the name of the Italian WEA company branch.
Please do not add it as a label, use it only in a company role.

WEA Italiana S.p.A. was established in Segrate, near Milan, in the summer of 1975.
Until then, distribution of Warner Bros. Records, Elektra and Atlantic releases in Italy was handled by Dischi Ricordi S.p.A..
Then Messaggerie Musicali handled the distribution of WEA Italiana S.p.A. releases for a couple of years, until mid-1977, when WEA Italiana S.p.A. finally started distributing their releases on their own.
In 1989, after the Warner group acquired WEA Italiana S.p.A. denomination was occasionally used in the following years.
