Secret Records was founded in 1980 and initially focused on punk releases. During the 1990s the label's catalogue diversified into other genres, and in the new Milennium focus was shifted to live recordings released on CD and DVD. Secret Records continues to release recordings in this vein. The rights to the label's catalogue are owned by Secret Records Limited.
