Started as fresh channel for young people, Ö3 today is the most listened radio station of the country with around 2,5 Million listeners/day. From 1967 till 1979 Ö3 Zeitreise.
From 1967 to 1995, Ö3 was also broadcasting alternative programs besides mainstream culture such as Paul Polansky served as program director who also built up and led the ORF Jazz editorial staff.
