Digital Press Hellas

Profile:

Greece's first CD manufacturing facility, established in autumn of 1987 as Digital Press Hellas S.A., at 275 Messogion Ave., Halandri, Athens. The facility included Greece's first fully digital recording studio. Please, consider also Digital Press Hellas S.A. if stated that way on the release.

The first CDs were pressed in early 1988. All stages of production were supervised by G.P.I. pressing plant. In 1995, DPH acquired the PolyGram owned G.P.I. record and cassette factory and operated that until 2001. They continued to number the lacquers from where G.P.I. left off, without the '410' identifier however.
In 2000, DPH moved to new facilities in Koropi area.
On January 1st, 2005 DPH was acquired by Odeon Cineplex S.A. and became a member of Odeon group of companies.
DPH closed in autumn 2019.
