Profile:	UK compilation series which ran from 1991 - 2001. Focused on European Techno for the first four volumes, then progressed to concentrate on Trance in subsequent editions. Some copies of the earlier CD series (up to Volume 6) can be prone to bronzing / disc rot.

This is some great stuff. My personal favorites are volumes 9-15. The earlier volumes also seem to be good according to other people; it just isn't really my favorite kind of music. The later volumes trail off somewhat, but then again 2000 is when a lot of music trailed off. Regardless, I think anyone can agree that volumes 8-13 of this series showcase not only great music but also a great vignette of music of that time in general, with styles that vary to an extent to give a good, full representation of trance/techno music of the time. Most people, myself included, prefer the unmixed compilation CDs to the mixed ones. The mixing really isn't that great.
