Kama Sutra

Kama Sutra (also called Kama Sutra Records) was the record label of parent company Kama Sutra Records, Inc..

The company was started by Buddah Records, Inc..

Kama Sutra continued to be a successful label under Buddah all through the seventies and well into the eighties when it was sold, along with the entire Buddah back catalog, to BMG in 1986. BMG maintained all copyright control of the entire Buddah catacluding the Kama Sutra label until it was absorbed into the Sony Music Group in the early 2000's.

Pre-BMG material usually shows the Kama Sutra (pre-Buddah & post-Buddah parent) address of 810 Seventh Avenue, N.Y. 10019.

The Buddah/Kama Sutra back catalog is currently managed by "Legacy", which is part of the Sony Music Group.
