As the result of my winning $300.00 on a single POKER hand, I bought the AnnoDisc REM 'Murmer' LP for $50.00, played it once and then put it away for almost 30 years. Returning to Vinyl, I played it for the first time and...MY GOD!!! It's like your in the studio with Michael Stipe back when he had a FULL SET OF HAIR!!! MURMER is REM's MEISTERWERKE (That & Gardening at night). Like the Door's 'THE DOORS', REM got progressively worse (MOR Dross) with each subsequent record---so this is the one you want for the ATHENS, GA Sound. First, the vinyl is FLAWLESS and the sound between notes are THE BLACKEST YOU WILL EVER HEAR. Buck's guitar shimmers as do all early JANGLE POP bands (Like the DB's) but the droning sound like SITARS!!! The AnnoDisc is worth every penny you pay for it.

I bought the MOFI Beatles Box set for $195.00 because the box had a tiny nick on the front door of the box. I thought it was OUTRAGEOUS to pay $300.00 for ten Beatles Records and went for the 'damaged' box. I only played it twice and have just been offered $2,100.00 for it. WTF?!!!
