Front Line (2)

Profile:

British reggae label launched in 1978 as a subsidiary of Jumbo Vanrenen. Folded in 1979 but their records are often reissued via Virgin.
Original releases have a "Virgin Front Line" or "Virgin's Front Line" logo. On spine also mentioned as: "Virgin's Front Line", "Virgin's Front Line Records" or "Virgin Front Line Records". Later Caroline releases have a "The Front Line" logo. Often promoted with slogans like 'The Front Line in Music' and 'Sounds of Reality'.

Do not confuse with The Front Line label from Jamaica which copied the 'bloodied fist' logo design.

The light tan-yellow label without the fist was introduced in early 1979.
