I will say though, if Pagey was so adamant on cutting roughly 2 minutes from the WLL medley to save on royalty costs for "Hello, Marylou", it was a missed opportunity not to include the full acoustic set and add one of the renditions of "Tangerine". They most certainly had enough dead wax for it, let alone space on a CD. Regardless, it sounds fantastic.
Edit: I honestly prefer the down-mixed 5.1 mix from the DVD audio to this. The sound is good here but there is a lot more breathing room in the mix. For example, the snare drum intro on Rock and Roll shocks your whole nervous system. Again, I hate that Tangerine was left off for no good reason. I just cross fade That's the Way into the LA rendition of it from a bootleg for completion's sake. -
The BEST official Led Zeppelin vinyl you can buy, the performances from the band across these nights are incredible, Page especially was on fire the whole time. The packaging and quality of the vinyl is excellent too, although I am not a fan of the box design with the lid. It takes a lot of effort to take it off. The sound on the vinyl is stunning, it has a huge soundstage with a full driving bass that isn't overwhelming and supreme clarity in the guitars, vocals, and cymbals. -

The sound quality is fantastic and my copy was perfectly quiet as well. Couldn’t ask for more to this iconic live album -

Modificato 4 anni faDumb question, are the tracks banded or does each album side just flow as a proper live album should? -
IMHO unquestionably THE best LedZep you can have in your collection. $200 is worth it. Sounds amazing, the box set is top-notch and excellent quality. Best though ... the talent just oozes out of this legendary band performing at its peak. Soooo much better than The Song Remains The Same. -
Excellent pressing. Sounds fantastic. Worth every cent. Very nice packaging. Clear and vibrant for a live recording. Highly recommend! -
