David Bowie – "Heroes"

Heroes is a bold, experimental triumph, with Brian Eno's ambient textures helping to weave an immersive soundscape that I love and which is integrated well with Bowie's straight-up rock power, pop sensibility, and artsy schtick. Beyond the iconic title track, the album's lack of radio-friendly hits doesn't detract from its brilliance, though it will take more investment than a cursory listen. This US 1st pressing is highly dynamic and warm with excellent depth and separation. Bowie's voice and Fripp's guitar work stand out. Excellent condition 1st pressings can still be found relatively cheap, jump on it if found while digging.

Just compared with my 1st UK pressing...
I have to it that this one is mind blowing !
Clear, breathing, dynamic with a sound scene beautifully put in relief.
It's a real improvement from my Original UK.
Now, I have a problem because it's very difficult for me to part with a 1st pressing but... why should I keep it actually ?....

Really good vinyl pressing, was skeptical at first if it can top the 2017 remaster version, but is really excellent. Becomes very clear on track B2 'Sense Of Doubt'

Bought all the Bowie remasters and they all sound phenomenal bar this one which is absolutely dreadful, the highs are ear piercing and heroes is the worse I’ve heard it

Great analog remaster by Piero Mannucci! Best sounding version I have ever listen of this LP.

The famous white inner sleeve which is the reverse of the lyric insert simply doesn't exist.

Compared to Low, to my ears 'Heroes' is a step back. Except the standout 'Heroes' single, the album comes across as trying to be Low v2 but in a safer less inspired way.

I can't get over how good this sounds for a standard pressing. Three cheers for Parlophone. Well done.
