Sounds a lot more like his Chain Reaction material than his disappointing Tumaa and Live Quartet albums.
Seems like every time an artist touches upon something outside of electronic music it's automatically rejected by the artists previous audience. I don't believe you actually listened to the albums. Or at least I hope you didn't. And even if it wasn't your cup of tea you have to it he's trying something different and original.
Both Tummaa and the VDQ albums were highlights of their respective years for me. I can understand wanting to hear something in the same style as his earlier works, but you can't blame him for expressing himself in new ways. While I still love Vantaa, I'm really happy with both sides of his productions. And his other aliases really are something to witness as well : the Uusitalo albums are amazing, Luomo is 1st class deep house, and his Sistol tracks are actually enjoyable minimal (much more than anything produced by Hawtin and his cohorts).
So yeah, you can tell I'm a fan. But really, his more jazzy side is not to be overlooked. I know a lot of people who just shrugged these releases off after listening to a 30 seconds preview on youtube and hearing an actual instrument. I can understand listening mainly to electronic music, but this is just waaay too excessive. -

Atheus - Pillars Of The Earth And Sky (2xcd)
Boomkat Review:
Deluxe hardback trifold digipak** Anders Peterson and Serge Collin, the rarified producer/engineers behind Ghost Sounds, collect eight sublime moments of dub and ambient techno on CD for the 1st time, including two previously unreleased tracks. Serge presents two original productions as Atheus; easing us in with the ultra-wide, subbass-cushioned flow of 'The Magic Mountain' beside the hazy, reverberant Dub House space of 'Stratagem', and later remixing A.P's 'Garden Therapy' as an opulent eighteen minutes of beatless, opiated ambience, and also contributing the Deathprod-esque title track. In contrast to Serge's stark minimalism, the aesthetic of designer, composer and Ghost Sounds CEO Anders Peterson is arguably more lush and melodically fragrant. He introduces himself with the delicately tactile dub of 'Desert Rainfall' and slow-motion heave of 'Landmark' as Relapxych.00, while the impressionistic, Muslimgauze-like sound-scaping of 'Garden Therapy' and the decaying ten minute Techno delicacy 'Atmospheric Stratification' sign his sound with a deeply etheric, elemental watermark. -

Boris Bunnik will release his first album as Silent Harbour this August.
The Dutch producer has been making dub-influenced techno as Conforce for several years on labels like Delsin, Curle, and Rush Hour, and has also produced under the aliases Versalife, K2vx, Mi-24, and Vernon Felicity. Silent Harbour is a new project for Bunnik, meant to "explore more cerebral and conceptual sounds," and its first release will land on Danish dub techno label Echocord. The eponymous debut album has a conceptual focus on "isolation, deep-sea submersion, [and] aquatic environments," and shows Bunnik getting even more atmospheric and ambient than usual.
Tracklisting
01. Aquatic Movement
02. Cascade
03. Scintillans In The Port
04. Geometry
05. Dock Operations
06. Metaphysical Storm

I was very surprised to see Claudio PRC mentioned in this forum & thread. Of my main techno genres I'm into I thought Claudio fell under more dark/sci-fi techno, if you will. I actually discovered him while collecting artists like Obtane, Giorgio Gigli and Terence Fixmer. I LOVE this stuff!
When you say new album, are you referring to "Inner State"?

Does anyone know who the artist behind Marow is ?... I do the email by MP label regarding this release mentioning that they will reveal the mystery artist once the album has been released - so far nothing !
They did seem to have viynl available too on the same site, but don't think they ever got manufactured though ?...wish I kept the email to show.
It is a excellent album amd just maybe, just maybe, could be Geoff White behind Marow(wild no evidence guess!); he seems the closest musically that resembles the Marow '+-0' sound. Minimal-dub-techno-glitch as heard inn Question & Comments and his recent release using Idm-electronica-dub-accoustic with his Aeroc 'R+B=0' album, both albums having similarities in style, mood, and atmosphere as with '+-0'. -

There seems to be some quality dubby music coming from the Eastern bloc at the moment with Cold Tear label continuing to release deep ambient and dubby music. Will certainly be checking Taskas, plus the SS ep (one of my fav labels) - but I think this more ambiemt though.
The new Echocord label album (another of my fav labels) by Silent Harbour (aka Conforce), seems to been delayed! though listed here on doscogs.
A excellent album I recently picked up Pablo Boliva - Redcell, wasn t too impressed with his first album though plenty were. This album though Redcell really impressed as its both deep and groovey, while not all dub-techno it still does have plenty of it. -

"Deep and melancholic dub techno vibes, with some ancient Lithuanian folk singing, and beautiful soundscapes."

Very true, although i must say i absolutely don't like when somebody uses Eastern Bloc term. It was generally used for eastern european countries under communism, which is now long gone.

Conforce has some quality stuff. Pretty raw sound, but goes well alltogether. Also looking forward to this one. Heard this morning a clip on Youtube from new echocord colour release from Function. After recent release from Skudge, i'd say this is one of the best releases in colour series.
