This is quite noisy. Even after a ultrasonic cleaning. If I get a chance at an OG copy, I’ll replace this and sell it off. -
Who approved the test pressings on this one and why? Noisy to the point of distraction, even after a cleaning. Maybe it's the compound mix?, but this pressing is hard to listen to. Hopefully somebody takes another shot at this LP.

Lots of snap crackle and pop on side 1 and the second half of side 2 of my copy. To the point where it’s intrusive and annoying . Ultrasonic cleaning hasn’t improved it. So on this basis alone I’ll move it on and stick to the CD (the UK vinyl first pressing prices being what they are). Does anyone know who pressed this frisbee so I can write them a rude letter? Disappointing. -

It feels very thin to me
But hold on maybe something is wrong with my gear?
*turns out there’s nothing wrong with my system.
I compared it with Spotify at same volume and quite honestly, it sounds almost exactly the same.
I am disappointed, just no dynamics, mastered very low volume.
Then I put on Giant Sand Chore of enchantment and it’s huge and beautiful.
I know it’s two different kind of records but it’s my way of comparing kick ass versus dull records.
Still a fantastic album.
I wonder how the original sounds now?!! -
There was so little information available about this that I didn’t have high hopes… but it sounds brilliant. Hope the rest of the back catalogue gets the same treatment.
I buy my records to listen to rather than look at but the ‘jungle swirl’ is a bit of a mess visually. The package is very basic and your LP will get stuck in the printed inner - so swap that for an anti-static inner as soon as you can. -

The mastering job and the cut is amazing here. A little surface noise which cleaning isn't shifting, but this doesn't impact enjoyment. Gorwel Owen's incredible engineering work shines here. Such a delight! -
Thought the packaging of this might be a little more heavyweight for £38 but I guess this is record shopping in 2025 :(
