Greek saxophonist, composer, and conductor, born 1934 in Corfu. Worked extensively as a conductor for Greek television in the 1960s and 1970s. Composer and conductor of Greece's first Eurovision Song Contest entry, 'Krassi, thalassa ke t'agori mou' by Marinella. NOT to be confused with Γιώργος Κατσαρός (2) (real name: Γιώργος Θεολογίτης; b. late 19th c., d. 1990's), singer and guitar player, one of the pioneers of Rebetiko songs.
