Richard Heslop (born 1961 in London) is a British director of music videos and films. He graduated in 1984 from St. Martins school of art and design film dept with a BA honours in film/fine art.
Brother of Derek Jarman movies. Later he directed his first music video 'The Queen is Dead' by The Smiths. Derek Jarman's film 'The Queen is Dead' is made in collaboration John Maybury, Richard Heslop and Chis Hughes.

Among the many legendary Heslop videos are The Shamen 'Ebenezer Goode', 'Boss Drum', 'Phorever People', The Cure 'Mint Car' and Suede 'New Generation'. Trademark of moody sepia tone film, Heslop has also directed videos for New Order, Paul McCartney, Sineàd O'Connor, Ace Of Base and Erasure. In 1996 Heslop was commissioned by Queen to direct an original film for the track "I Was Born to Love You". Heslop also has directed several short films and series for the BBC.

As a visual artist Heslop has exhibited several shows in London and in Hastings.
