Eve Boswell

Hungarian pop singer, actress and dancer.
Born 11 May 1922 in Budapest, Hungary.
Died 14 August 1998 in Durban, South Africa (76).
Boswell was educated in Switzerland, and studied piano before ing her parents on tour as the juggling act, Three Hugos. She could also play the piano, clarinet, and saxophone and was an expert ballet and tap dancer.
She charted in 1955 with "Pickin' a Chicken" by Eve Boswell with Glen Somers and His Orchestra, which hit #9 in the U.K. Her first album release came in 1956 "Sugar and Spice", on which she sang 10 songs in nine different languages.
After retiring from singing and performing, she moved to Durban, South Africa, where she worked as a professional vocal coach and opened her own singing school focusing on her specific training style. The method is still taught today, called the "Eve Boswell Method", focusing on correct vocal technique to develop the student’s maximum vocal performance and ability.
