Sir Brian Clarke, painter, architectural artist, and polemicist; regular collaborator with Paul and Linda McCartney. Designer of the arena and stadia stage sets for the Paul McCartney World Tour (1989-90) and artistic director for The New World Tour (1992-93), for which he designed painted sets and projections; responsible for the album artwork concepts and cover artworks for Tug of War and Flowers in the Dirt, singles 'Fine Line' and 'Figure of Eight', together with other McCartney EP and single artworks and promotional material, as well as contributions to the work of other musical groups and artists, including the design of an unpublished David Bowie/Mick Jagger record.
