Yorgos Lafkas was a Greek songwriter, singer, and virtuoso bouzouki player of rebetiko songs. Born 9 August 1924 (some sources mention 1919 as the date of his birth) in Metamorfossi (then Katavothra), Laconia, Greece - Died 4 March (some sources mention 18 or 26 December as the date of his death) 1972 in Athens, Greece.
