Don DeMicheal

Journalist, vibraphonist and drummer, born May 12, 1928 in Louisville, Kentucky, died February 4, 1982 in Skokie, Illinois.
Editor-in-chief of jazz magazine Down Beat 1961-1967. During following years he edited several periodicals devoted to non-musical subjects. In 1975 formed a group called the Swingtet; he also played drums in the Hot Three with Kenny Davern and Art Hodes.
