The sub bass on Push is immense. The epitome of Low Frequency Oscillation. Speaker killing stuff.
Moby's remix of Tan Ta Ra is the weak link here, the other three tracks are absolutely cracking. -
I still have in mind this weird sensation of hearing 'Syndrome' for the very first time from a borrowed friend tape which had a WARP compilation called 'Evolution Of The Groove'. The gates of Space were wide open, and at those sounds threw you (at the same time) in a deep voyage into your inner self. It simply blew my head off.

Edited 19 years agoIf you can find it, then this is definitly worth buying, as it's limited to 2000 only.
The Moby mix of Tan Ta Ra and What is house show up on the original What is house LP. The Moby mix is nothing special, Just a standard house track, where as What is house, is possibly the best track on here after Squeaky, with good synths and the words telling everyone just what house music is.
Squeaky is the stand out track here with its squealing synths and bass. Added acid makes this most enjoyable track on the EP . The other exclusive Push, is a techno track with added bleeps and a tight bassline, not the best but better than Tan Ta Ra.

For you LFO lovers, squeeky has that distinct LFO sound. I perceive it to have a classical music sound to it. A high pitched winding tweeting beeping melody ending low with slow metallic bells with long vibrating synth beats. They don't make them like they used to.

I love this 12” Squeaky is really good fun a sort of a Slow house Acid thing, can ever dancing to it but I’m sure you could!!
The 12 is see through Vinyl and I think it was a limited edition.
What is House is good and the remix of Tan Ta Ra is pretty funky (lots of bell sounds which always works for me!!)
