The original version The Alan Price Set - I Put A Spell On You, entered the top 100 hit on March 31, staying there for 10 weeks and peaking at 9th position.
The CGD Compagnia Generale Del Disco S.p.a.. decides to use the song as side B for a new single and on October 31st, it records the matrix and reserve a catalog number.
The immediate success of "Caterina Caselli - Cento Giorni", paired with the cover of the Rolling Stones, released at the end of October which in the first week of November has already conquered the 54th place in the ranking of the top 100, puts the brakes on the release of a new single.
The song "Cento giorni" arrives in 8th position and remains in the ranking of the top 100 until March when the song from Sanremo, "Caterina Caselli - Il Cammino Di Ogni Speranza", will replace it.
